Pesticides

Studies show that organophosphate pesticides inhibit Ca²⁺ATPase in the brain, skeletal muscle, lungs, and red blood cells; Pyrethroids inhibit Ca²⁺ATPase in the brain and red blood cells; Atrazine inhibits Ca²⁺ATPase in the heart, liver and red blood cells. Organochlorine pesticides such as DDT, (although banned remnants remain in our environment) inhibit Ca²⁺ATPase brain, heart, kidney, liver ovary, placenta, sperm, and red blood cells.
