Polychlorinated Bisphenols (PCBs)
Studies show that polychlorinated bisphenols have a negative impact on Ca²⁺ATPase in the brain.
The greatest exposure to PCBs is though consumption of contaminated seafood. Since PCBs collect in adipose (fat) tissue, before cooking remove the skin and fat where toxins likely to accumulate.
When cooking, let fat drain away.
Serve less fried fish because frying seals in chemicals that might be able to drain away in fat while grilling or broiling.
Wearing protective clothes, and gloves when repairing or removing olderconstruction materials including plaster, paint, and caulk that could contain PCBs.
